I build a couple of antennas for 5.8 GHz and compare them here. the first is a truncated patch array 2x4 should give circular polarization. the second is a waveguide antenna aka cantenna and the last one is a 2x2 patch on a PCB (bought to compare). In my previous video I used a vertical polarized short backfire antenna (homemade) and I was surprised by its performance. I'm planning to make a circular polarized one as il like it for both perfomance and simplicity.

Fixed the camera mount. second flight is again with omnidirectional antennas on both, TX and RX third flight uses homebrew "short backfire" should give aprox 12 dB gain. Antenna tracking by Jordy :-)

First trial with a camera mounted on Twinstar. The cam mount is not yet optimal hence the wobbeling in some parts. Made at our local airfield.
